PRE-DEPARTURE REGISTRATION AND PRE-DEPARTURE 
ORIENTATION SEMINAR FOR EXCHANGE VISITOR PROGRAM 
PARTICIPANTS ( J-1 VISA HOLDERS)

Filipinos leaving the country to participate in the Exchange Visitor Program (EVP) are required to register with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas. Part of its registration requirements is attendance in the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar (PDOS) to inform them about the conditions and requirements of the EVP as well as their responsibilities as J-1 visa holders.

Requirements for Registration:  1. Original valid passport; 2. Original and photocopy of J-1 visa; 3. Original and photocopy of Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange  Visitor (J-1) Status (DS-2019 or IAP -66);  4. One (1) colored passport-size photograph;  5. One (1) valid identification card with photograph;  6. Duly completed registration form;  7. Attendance in the Pre-Departure Orientation Seminar; and  8. Payment of P 400.00 registration fee.

Note: After satisfactory compliance with the above requirements, a J-1 registration sticker is affixed to the exchange visitor’s passport.
